Support for the parts of you that feel overwhelmed, stuck, and ready for change.
My approach
My counseling approach is client-centered, collaborative, relational, strengths-based, and feminist. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can work together to understand what has been weighing on you and help you move toward greater self-trust, authenticity, balance, and inner peace.
You may be navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship struggles, self-doubt, grief, or the pressure to keep everything together. I also support individuals through life transitions such as parenting, divorce, caregiving, menopause, changes in career or identity, health challenges, and loss.
Our work together may focus on healing emotional wounds, processing trauma, building emotional regulation, strengthening boundaries, deepening self-compassion, and reconnecting with your authentic self. Together, we will explore your values, strengths, needs, and next steps so you can create a life that feels more grounded, empowered, fulfilling, and true to you.
How we’ll work together
Internal Family Systems
Internal Family Systems, also known as IFS or “parts work,” helps you better understand and relate to the different parts of yourself. Some parts may protect you through patterns like perfectionism, people-pleasing, overachievement, or caretaking, while other parts may carry pain, fear, shame, grief, or unmet needs.
In therapy, we respectfully get to know these parts rather than trying to push them away or “fix” them. Together, we explore what each part is trying to do for you, how it learned its role, and what it may need in order to soften, heal, or trust you more. This process can help you make sense of inner conflict, self-criticism, trauma responses, and long-standing patterns.
Over time, IFS can support greater self-trust, emotional balance, and a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, is an evidence-based therapy that can help the mind and body process painful or overwhelming experiences. Using eye movements, tapping, or sounds while briefly focusing on a memory, feeling, or body sensation, EMDR supports the brain’s natural healing process.
Over time, distressing memories may feel less intense and easier to relate to with calm and clarity. I also integrate IFS with EMDR to help identify and support protective parts before approaching difficult memories. This can help reduce overwhelm and create a safer, more grounded healing process.
Mindful Self-Compassion
Mindful Self-Compassion offers a gentle way to build emotional resilience by bringing together mindfulness and self-kindness. At its heart, this approach focuses on three core elements: mindfulness, common humanity, and self-kindness.
Mindfulness helps you become aware of difficult thoughts and feelings with openness and care, rather than pushing them away or becoming overwhelmed by them. Common humanity reminds you that struggle, imperfection, and pain are natural parts of being human, which can help ease feelings of isolation. Self-kindness invites you to meet yourself with warmth, patience, and understanding, especially during difficult times, instead of responding with harsh self-criticism.

What healing looks like
Healing is not about becoming a different person. It is about understanding yourself more deeply and building compassion for every part of who you are.
Many protective patterns—such as perfectionism, people-pleasing, overachievement, self-criticism, codependency, or difficulty setting boundaries—often develop around emotional pain, unmet needs, fear, shame, loneliness, trauma, or the belief that we are not enough. While these patterns may have helped you cope or feel safe, they can also keep you feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of your own needs.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, listen inward, and gently explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion. As the parts of you that have been working so hard to protect you begin to feel understood and supported, healing becomes possible. Over time, you can reconnect with your natural compassion, confidence, clarity, courage, calm, creativity, and connection.
You are already worthy—not because of what you achieve, how much you do for others, or how well you hold everything together, but simply because you are human.
